TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1500

The English Roadster

OVERVIEW

The Triumph Spitfire is a sporty roadster. It was produced from 1962 to 1980. It is based on the Triumph Herald which is a 4 seater and the design is due to Giovanni Michelotti. Triumph actually reached its goal to produce a small and affordable roadster with the spitfire. Our spitfire is equipped with a 1500 cc engine, the last and most sold generation, with 95.000 cars produced. The spitfire started with a 1.100 cc engine in 1962 which was then replaced by a 1.300 cc one in 1965 with the MK III model. The body panels changed a lot through the 18 years of production enabling the car to always be up-do-date.
